CNC Operator – Programmer

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (with flexible shift options available)

Pay: $23-33/hr DOE

CPS Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Operator – Programmer for a blended role in both machine setup and programming. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity with a respected manufacturer, offering steady hours, strong team culture, and the chance to advance your machining career.

Position Overview:

This role is a 60/40 blend of CNC setup/operation and programming. You’ll work with lathes and mills—HAAS and Doosan machines—handling setup, operation, and programming using FusionCAM or Mastercam.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes with minimal supervision
• Program using Mastercam or FusionCAM based on blueprints and specs
• Adjust tooling, offsets, and fixtures as needed for accurate production
• Ensure quality through first-run inspections and ongoing monitoring
• Maintain records, troubleshoot issues, and keep workstations organized
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize processes
• Participate in cross-training, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of CNC experience; high school diploma or GED required
• Proficiency with GD&T, tooling, setup of multi-axis machines
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Forklift certification and overhead crane experience preferred
• Familiarity with CAD, hand tools, and standard machining equipment
