Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) interns gain experience in the administration and development of Early Childhood Education programming. CCR&R provides services to both licensed and unlicensed Early Childhood Education providers, as well as to families who are seeking childcare services. CCR&R interns work directly with a range of CCR&R staff, including Professional Development Advisors, Data & Parent Referral Specialists, Literacy & Recruitment Specialists, Infant/Toddler Specialists, and Quality Rating System Specialists. As a CCR&R Intern, you will be exposed to the administrative aspects of Early Childhood Education, including providing support both to providers and to families. The CCR&R Internship is appropriate for students pursuing an internship for college credit towards an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Family Studies, or a related field.

**Learning opportunities include:**

* Shadow CCR&R staff during community visits to gain knowledge of child care provider support services and quality improvement initiatives in various early childhood settings.

* Observe and facilitate learning opportunities for early childhood professionals.

* Assist with provider outreach by phone and gain experience in assessing provider needs and making linkages.

* Assist with filing and data entry to gain experience of provider documentation, records organization, and various data management systems.

* Research early childhood related topics for inclusion in program newsletter.

* Learn about the history and services of Childrens Home & Aid in an orientation to the agency, including introduction to policies & procedures and safety practices.

* Participate in regular supervision with assigned supervisor.

* Complete the following required and recommended trainings: Mandated Reporter, HIPAA, Sexual Harassment Awareness and Prevention, LGBTQIA+, Safety, Trauma 101, ARC 101

**Internship Supervisor Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's of Science, Early Childhood Education

**Student Qualifications:**

* Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies, or a related field.

* Pursuing an internship for college credit through an academic or other formalized educational program.

* Good written and oral communication skills.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.
