Job Description

Laurel Ag & Water is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional Branch Operations Manager. As a key member of the Procurement and Supply Chain team, the Branch Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the shipping/receiving, retail, inventory, assembly/fabrication, and facilities in the warehouse. They will ensure that all employees are working efficiently and safely, monitor inventory levels, and make sure that products are handled properly throughout the shipping process. Laurel is looking for a strong hands-on Branch Operations Manager with a proven track record of being an essential part of the processes in a warehouse. This role will report to the VP Procurement & Supply Chain.

This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's needs and creating solutions that maximize our performance at Laurel. The Branch Operations Manager is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values, sets an example for others, and enhances the culture. They should also have communication skills to inspire others as a peer and team builder.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage Rental Customer Experience
    • Monitor and manage all ins, outs, and transfers of rental pipe and equipment to and from customers for the region.
  • Manage and schedule pipeline repairs and equipment maintenance and schedules.
  • Interface with Rental Management for customer orders and relationship management.
  • Manage location delivery schedules.
  • Manage Construction Customer Experience
    • Manage order fulfillments.
  • Coordinate dropship receiving and offloading.
  • Manage location delivery schedules.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage service calls and fabrication.
  • Develop Product and Geographic Expansion
    • Work with Account Managers to develop relationship management with customers.
  • Create a culture of incredible customer experience.
  • Cross sell and up sell over-the-counter orders.
  • Increase over-the-counter sales at the branch.
  • Treasure hunt materials to sell over-the-counter based on customer needs.
  • Maintain Branch Operational Excellence
    • Maintain appropriate stocking levels.
      • Review Min/Max with Director Quarterly.
    • Review Inventory Turnover Ratios for Min/Max updates.
    • Oversee accurate inventory controls (AQ, QOH, cycle counts, EOY audit).
    • Facilities management (office supplies, cleaning, security, safety)
    • Coordinate Vehicle and Rental Equipment maintenance and repairs.
    • Work with NetSuite Team to improve tools for warehouse managers.
    • Create a Culture of Team Excellence and Accountability
      • Facilitate best practice training.
    • Provide consistent feedback on supply chain, material, etc. difficulties and errors with other department leaders.
    • Develop process consistency.
    • Coordinate inventory use across branches.
    • Maintain clean and organized packing and job staging areas.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Proven ability to work in team environment inside and outside of department
  • Three (3) years' experience with agriculture irrigation, and/or warehouse or project management or equivalent combination of experience/education
  • Proven ability to set build trust throughout the organization
  • High energy, hungry to win, approachable, analytical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Spanish speaking desired
  • Ability to travel 10-30% depending on location
  • Excellent computer skills, including Office Suite and ERP savvy.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment inside and outside of department
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Able to make decisions under pressure.
  • High energy, hungry to win, approachable, flexible
