About the Role
The Company is seeking mission-driven leaders to join its Board of Directors. The ideal candidates will be passionate about advancing economic equity and have a deep commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of young people, especially those from under-resourced communities. Board members will be expected to actively lead and contribute to key growth initiatives, assist in identifying allies and partners, and help in fundraising efforts. Candidates should bring a diverse range of professional and lived experiences, with a strong preference for those who have worked in the private, public, philanthropic, or nonprofit sectors and have a background in community or nonprofit leadership. The role requires a strong network and reputation within the Boston community, mission alignment with the organization's educational and equity goals, and expertise in areas such as entrepreneurship, scaling, and fundraising. Specific responsibilities include prioritizing the organization, serving as a mentor to students, and adhering to governance policies. Board members will also be expected to attend regular meetings and commit to a three-year term with the possibility of renewal.
