Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Serve and dispense alcohol in line with PLCB regulations at both the bar and poolside locations.*

• Prepare cocktails for guests and servers according to standard recipes.*

• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.*

• Operate the point of sale system.*

• Maintain assigned bank, process all payment methods, complete necessary cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and complete all opening/closing paperwork.*

• Perform all aspects of opening and closing procedures.*

• Ensure bar par is adequate and that the liquor requisition is according to standard.*

• Purchase and transport alcohol as needed.

• Receive and store beverage products in a proper and orderly manner*

• Conduct monthly inventory*

• Ensure that glassware and bar utensils are washed, while adhering to safety standards, and presentable before they are used.*

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.*

• Ensure that all side work assigned is accomplished in a clean and orderly manner.*

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience tending bar in a restaurant or lounge setting.

• Must pass the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) within the probation period.

• Must have a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must display a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times

• Must be friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with guests

• Working knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors

• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced high-pressure environment

• Must be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments

• Must have strong interpersonal relationship skills

• Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.

• This is a union position, and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet schedule requirements, which will most likely require working flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational demands.
