Description
The Department of Biology, Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, seeks qualified candidates for a Tenure Track position as an Assistant Professor in Exercise Science beginning August, 2025.
The successful candidate will contribute to a newly launched Exercise Science major by teaching 9 contact hours per semester (3 lecture or lab sections) in core Exercise Science courses (Strength and Conditioning, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Exercise Programming for Special Populations, and a Research Methods course); and by advising Senior research and practicum experiences. The ability to support courses in Human Anatomy and Physiology is also considered a strong asset.
Faculty are expected to develop an active and sustainable research program with student involvement, and should be committed to teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts context. Advising students and service to the department and college are also expected.

Qualifications
Applicants should hold (or be near completion of) a doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine, Biology or related field.
