The Fiscal Assistant position serves as a support to the Fiscal Department as well as the caseworkers and administration. It requires the ability to work as a team as well as independently. The incumbent must be detailed oriented and possess good oral and written communication skills. This position involves complex fiscal work including accounts payable and receivable, compiling data, and maintaining fiscal files. Meeting federal and state deadlines for reporting is vital. You will have the opportunity to work closely with vendors and service providers to ensure accurate and timely submission of reports.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary:   In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work;  or
  • An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by 6 credits in accounting;  or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
