KPMG is currently seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join our Office of General Counsel in our Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance organization. Responsibilities: Identify and assess employment-related legal risks and opportunities and advise Human Resources accordingly, including those relating to leaves, FMLA, ADA and accommodations Counsel Human Resources and Ethics & Compliance on misconduct and other investigations relating to potential violations of federal, state and local law, professional practice standards, and/or Firm policy Review and analyze restrictive covenants and other restrictions in applicants' employment agreements Coordinate with and provide advice to various levels of Firm management on employment matters Provide training to Firm personnel on employment related-risks relevant to the Firm Advise on employment law developments at the federal, state and local level and contribute to development of firm policies to comply with applicable law Qualifications: Minimum of six years of recent experience handling employment counseling and/or employment litigation, covering a broad range of employment-related topics, in a leading law firm, large corporate environment or government entity Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university; J.D. and/or LL.M. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in the U.S Experience with counselling on or litigating matters involving leaves, FMLA, ADA and accommodations preferred Thought leadership and strategic thinking in sensitive and complex situations, and the highest ethical standards, integrity, authenticity, credibility and character Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively and work collaboratively in an inclusive manner with individuals at all levels, including senior leadership Outstanding analytical, writing, and oral presentation skills #J-18808-Ljbffr KPMG Careers
