Job Description

Cornerstone Christian Counseling is a vibrant, faith-based mental health practice that places a high value on caring for our clinicians and clients well while pursuing excellence in all we do. Currently, we are looking for a full-time employee (30 hours/week) to join our leadership team as the Assistant Director of Operations. 

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership and problem-solving skills, a commitment to the mission, vision and values of Cornerstone, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of counselors and administrative staff. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational needs, ensuring a supportive and well-functioning environment for both clients and staff. 

It is expected that the individual who fills this position will be located in the Denver Metro area, though the employee will work primarily from their own home office, Monday through Friday. 

What You'll Do

As Assistant Director of Operations, you will:

Ensuring Operational Excellence 

  • Lead Operational Strategy & Efficiency: Oversee daily operations, develop and standardize policies and procedures, optimize resource allocation, and implement cost-saving and revenue-enhancing strategies, ensuring integration of faith-based principles and consistent high-quality service.
  • Manage Compliance & Administrative Oversight: Handle key business functions including tax filings, license and insurance renewals, government registrations, and contract negotiations; maintain updated business documentation and support office transitions.
  • Ensure Effective Communication & Accountability: Serve as a central point of contact for complex issues, maintain timely communication, update company-wide metrics, and lead documentation efforts such as the Cornerstone operations manual in Trainual.

Organizational Leadership

  • Drive Strategic Execution & Performance Monitoring: Support cross-functional goals by balancing organizational needs with effective solutions, conducting departmental audits and scorecard checks, and ensuring execution of KPIs across teams.
  • Lead and Empower Operations & Location Teams: Supervise Location Leads and Billing and Operations team members, oversee vendor and property management, and guide implementation of technology systems to enhance efficiency, data security, and service delivery.
  • Foster Collaboration & Culture : Bridge clinical and administrative teams through strong industry knowledge, build trusting relationships across the organization, and lead weekly Directors Team meetings using the EOS framework.

Innovation and Organizational Development

  • Drive Business Development and Cost Efficiency: Actively participate in strategic meetings with senior leadership to support business goals, identify cost reduction opportunities, and steward organizational resources.
  • Facilitate Change and Internal Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between the CEO/COO, CFO, and various teams, ensuring smooth internal transitions, effective change measurement, and alignment with core company values.
  • Promote a Culture of Innovation and Growth: Encourage brainstorming and idea generation, embrace constructive disruption, and model a growth mindset to foster an environment where innovative ideas thrive.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required); Master's degree strongly preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in operations, ideally in healthcare and faith-based settings.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance, EHR and technology systems, and quality improvement practices.
  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of financial principles, operating systems and best practices in employee management.

Physical and Technology:

  • Must have a secure/private working location as this role requires confidentiality and privacy of personal information. 
  • This position is a remote position that requires your own personal computer, smartphone, and high-speed internet connection in order to work in all of our cloud-based software programs.

Compensation & Benefits 

The salary for the Assistant Director of Operation position will fall between $55,000-60,000 per year (for 30 hours/week) and is commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications, and will be determined based on the candidate's background and alignment with the role's responsibilities and Cornerstone's operational compensation structure.

As a full-time (30 hours/week) employee at Cornerstone Christian Counseling, you will qualify for the following benefits:
