Job Description

Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast, Adventist Health Tillamook has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1950. Job Summary:

Transports patients in non-emergency and emergency situations. Assists staff in the movement of patients and equipment. Adheres to all driving and safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

* High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required in Oregon

Licenses/Certifications:

* Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older: Required in OR * AHA Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Healthcare Provider: Preferred in Oregon * Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC) or equivalent: Preferred

Essential Functions:

* Picks up and delivers patients from and to designated health facilities. * Operates required emergency vehicle(s) in a safe manner to perform required duties of position and operates radio and dispatch communication systems. Utilizes maps to locate hospitals, medical facilities, and home addresses. * Reports accidents/incidents to the Supervisor, as soon as they occur and in line with company procedure. * Participates in continuing education which demonstrates employee commitment to improving capabilities. * Communicates effectively and efficiently with staff and patients. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
