This position will be responsible for the management and oversight of the F-35 Alternate Mission Equipment Tracking System (AMETS). This management will include system enhancements, individual account set-up, inventory accountability, provide training and system administration. AMETS is the program of record for Alternate Mission Equipment accountability and will continue to grow as the F-35 Program evolves and more aircraft and equipment are delivered, and more customers are added.
Essential Job Functions:
Serve as F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) focal point for AMETS management, maintenance, configuration and reliable operation.
Interface with F-35 JPO Armament Team, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and global users to ensure 100% inventory accountability.
Supports, troubleshoots and maintains system for F-35 Enterprise.
Evaluate systems and alternate solutions; develops functional specifications, standards and requirements for software and design to ensure optimum system and end-user performance; makes recommendations for changes and additional services.
Respond to customer issues via phone, email and computer chat.
Train and provide guidance to all F-35 JPO users.
Monitor system activity for global accountability of equipment.
Provide briefings to multiple echelons of leadership across all U.S. Services, F-35 Partners, F-35 FMS Customers and F-35 JPO Personnel.
Work with F-35 JPO Contracts Office to evaluate funding requirements.
Attend meetings, as required, regarding AMETS administration.
Required skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelors degree plus 8 years relevant experience or a Masters degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain program security clearances.
F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Weapons/Ordnance/Armament experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
Travel Requirements:
Infrequent travel may be required supporting various on-site inventories, recurring meetings and other events that are best supported in person away from the normal duty location.
International travel is likely, and a passport is required.
Desired Skills:
8+ Years practical experience in weapons aerospace-related test or weapons acquisition.
15+ Years of aircraft Weapons/Armament experience.
Technical background experience with Aircraft Weapons/Armament and Weapons-related equipment.
Military Service ideal.
