Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as an Allergy Technician. The position is based in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities include greeting patients, conducting patient assessments and allergy tests as ordered by provider, administering allergy shots, educating and administering allergy drops, monitors patients medical status for possible adverse reaction following receipt of allergy testing/treatment, documenting patient information, assisting with ENT examinations and procedures, insurance verification, and ensuring a clean and safe clinical environment. The candidate will also assist in patient education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Experience in allergy testing and administering allergy shots/drops preferred
  • Proficiency in documenting patient information and maintaining medical records
  • Knowledge of ENT examination procedures and equipment
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented clinical environment
  • CPR certification
  • Previous experience in an ENT or allergy clinic is preferred

Other

  • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
  • Attends CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, and OIG training programs as required.
  • Attends all regular meetings.
  • Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager.
  • Completes all assigned TSC training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes.
