We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic/Technician to join our clients team in North Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fabricating mechanical components according to detailed schematics and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of either mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work with various hand tools and machinery. This individual will be joining the Production Team within Assembly and will play a crucial role in ensuring that the finished products meet the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Assemble mechanical or electrical components based on provided schematics and specifications.
  • Fabricate parts as needed, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
  • Utilize hand tools and machining equipment for assembly processes.
  • Conduct inspections of assembled products to verify compliance with IPC 610 standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Either 1+ years of experience in aircrafts, including airplanes, helicopters, jets, military aircrafts, etc. If no aircraft experience, must have 1 + years of proven experience in mechanical, structural, and/or electrical assembly.
  • Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and basic machining equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring and logic controllers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift - must be able to apply to all three and shift selection is not an immediate option

Pay

  • Entry-Level : (0-2 years of experience) $23.13/hr
  • Mid-Level : (3-6 years of experience) $28.13/hr
