Job Description

Education Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As an Advanced DevOps Engineer, you will: Develop automation to instantiate and maintain container orchestration platforms Automatically configure and deploy infrastructure services consisting of identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, deployment and more Work closely with our team to plan major updates and enhancements to our products In this role, you will be working with critical internal and external platform consumers. Together with the team, you will support successful implementation of the platform in the Cloud through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more. Candidates should have demonstrated strengths and experience in some of the following areas: Experience working with, or are familiar with the differences between, public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environments Container technologies such as Docker, or Kubernetes Deployment of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef Experience maintaining production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services) using automation Creation of pipelines, Ansible Playbooks, and/or Terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from resource creation to service configuration Effective communication and attention to detail Other beneficial experience: IT security practices including encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditing Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, OpenStack, RHOSP, or VIO Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch) Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX)/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms) What sets you apart: Strong understanding of software development process, as well as software engineering concepts, principles, and theories Creative thinker capable of applying new information quickly to solve challenging problems Comfortable providing technical leadership Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Our Commitment to You: An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. USD $112,829.60 - USD $125,170.40 /Yr.
