Salary:

Intelligent Technology, LLC, a Wood River Federal company, is seeking a skilled ABMS Principal Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in alignment with ABMS requirements. This includes designing, engineering, surveying, installing, implementing, configuring, testing, and integrating network solutions for highly complex requirements within the Air Force Information Network (AFIN). The advisor will also support tactical deployable communications assets and Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP) Sites within the Department of Defense (DoD) Teleport System.

Job Duties:

  • Provide technical support for network systems, including design, engineering, implementation, integration, configuration, and testing
  • Provide beyond Tier 3 network systems support within 48 hours of notification or 12 hours if communicated as an emergency by leadership
  • Implement and integrate Government-procured multi-vendor upgrades into the Air Force Network environment, including routers/switches (i.e., Cisco, Juniper, Hewlett Packard (HP), Foundry, etc.), firewalls (i.e., Sidewinder, Palo Alto, Source Fire, etc.), and servers.
  • Inventory and transport equipment and materials for installations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues
  • Accomplish quality installs of networking equipment with pristine cable management, secure equipment, and properly labeled cable connections in line with locally generated and Government-approved installation standards
  • As required, employ Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Ensure seamless interface and interoperation of critical nodes with non-critical nodes and upgraded boundary with currently connected BAN Core Nodes (CN) in compliance with the Technical Requirements Document (TRD)
  • Provide in-briefs and out-briefs to base/site personnel as required for on-site visits
  • Develop documentation that captures the full range of technical implementation activities from initial tasking to concept development, solution engineering, implementation, and project closeout. Ensure Contractor-developed technical solutions meet customer feasibility, thoroughness, security, reliability and maintainability, cost effectiveness, and timeliness requirements

Documentation Duties:

  • Collaborate and build Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) based on the timeline provided on the Performance of Work Statement (PWS).

Skill Requirements:

  • Professional Level Certification (e.g., CCNP/CCDP/JNCIS/JNCDS/etc.)
  • IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Sec+/CCNP Security/CISSP/8140 equivalent requirement)
  • Clearance - Secret with the ability to attain a TS-SCI
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in network systems support and implementation
  • Juniper OS experience required
  • SD-WAN experience preferred
