William Paterson University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty within the College of Science and Health, Department of Kinesiology. This is a part-time position with a hybrid remote work schedule depending upon institutional need. The department offers undergraduate and graduate courses taught both online and in person. Undergraduate majors include Exercise Physiology, Physical Education Teacher Certification, Sport Management, and Sports Medicine. Graduate majors include Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, and Sport Administration. Duties include developing syllabi based on course outlines, deploying course content, objectives, and student assessment methods, providing consistent and effective student support, and teaching in person and/or online depending on schedules and needs. Required qualifications for undergraduate courses include a Master's degree in a relevant discipline and employment in a related area. Preferred qualifications include professional certification and experience teaching both online and in person. Similar qualifications apply for graduate courses. Personal attributes sought include the ability to translate kinesiology experience into teaching, commitment to professional development, teaching excellence, patience, resourcefulness, and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment. The pay rate is $1975 per credit for new employees and $2050 per credit for employees with 13+ semesters at William Paterson University.
