• Provide Exceptional Patient Care:
  • Perform acute hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of licensed Registered Nurses.
  • Monitor patient vitals and dialysis machine functions throughout treatments.
  • Administer Heparin as directed by the nephrologist.
  • Respond to dialysis-related emergencies and ensure patient safety at all times.
• Ensure Equipment Functionality and Maintenance :
  • Set up, test, and monitor dialysis machines, ensuring compliance with all established protocols.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment and dialysis treatment areas according to Hema-Tec and hospital standards.
  • Perform required testing and document results in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with Nursing and Hospital Teams :
  • Communicate regularly with nurses regarding treatment plans, patient condition, and any concerns.
  • Assist with patient transport, set-up, and breakdown of dialysis machines.
  • Document treatment parameters and provide accurate, timely reports to the healthcare team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education & Certification :
  • Completion of a Dialysis Training Program and CCHT Certification (Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician).
  • Ongoing education and competency validation in nephrology and dialysis practices.
• Experience :
  • A minimum of 3 years of dialysis technician experience is required.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, particularly in acute and critical care settings.
• Skills :
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to handle dialysis-related emergencies and respond to patients’ needs promptly and efficiently.
• Physical Demands :
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 200 lbs) and assist with patient transport as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and the ability to bend, move, and lift items in a healthcare setting.
  • Potential exposure to infectious materials and bodily fluids, following standard safety precautions.
