Job Description

As a dedicated credentialed Actuary on the Forecasting Team, you will provide accurate and insightful projections for forecast processes and communicate results to key business partners at all levels to drive key strategic decisioning conversations. You will also provide mentorship and guidance to more junior team members to foster a culture of learning and development. Additional responsibilities may include leveraging advanced knowledge in pricing to lead and complete broad, complex unstructured projects with countrywide product-level impact. This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. Responsibilities include applying advanced actuarial knowledge to complete broad and complex projects, utilizing advanced actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques, leading special actuarial projects, training new team members, applying deep understanding of products and industry trends to solve business problems, identifying compliance gaps and recommending solutions, representing Actuary in cross-functional efforts, developing written communication and presentations for broad audiences including executive leadership, and ensuring risks are effectively managed in accordance with policies. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 4 years of actuarial or analytical business experience, Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) Credential, advanced skills in actuarial and statistical techniques, proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools, and experience communicating complex solutions to technical and nontechnical audiences. The role values passion for innovative actuarial work, strong pricing expertise, ability to translate analytics into visualizations, project management skills, problem-solving abilities, process improvement skills, and US military experience or affiliation.
