Job Title: AP/AR Specialist
Location: N. Charleston, SC (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $17-$19/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Type: Long-Term Contract

We are a recruiting and staffing agency assisting a government department in hiring an AP/AR Specialist for a long-term contract position. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a government setting, with potential for permanent placement with the state.

Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile invoices, statements, and financial records
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits
Prepare reports and ensure compliance with financial procedures
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, for financial data management
Perform general administrative support related to accounting functions

Qualifications:
Previous experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
Intermediate proficiency in data entry, financial recordkeeping, and document management
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
