Job Details

Track and reconcile joint interest billings (JIB), revenue accounting, and accounts payable/receivable related to oil and gas operations

Support the preparation of tax filings and regulatory reports (e.g., severance, property, production taxes)

Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements

Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed

Participate in budget preparation and variance analysis

Collaborate with operations and land departments to ensure proper cost allocations and revenue recognition

Maintain internal controls and assist in process improvements

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

1–4 years of accounting experience (oil and gas experience strongly preferred)

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting practices in the oil and gas industry

Experience with accounting software; familiarity with industry-specific systems (e.g., WolfePak, OGSys, Quorum) is a plus

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
