The Project Analyst Team Lead is part of the controls team within the PMO, which provides the organization with project-related data for effective decision-making. The Team Lead oversees a team of project analysts, ensuring accurate and timely project reporting. The role acts as a key liaison between project teams, finance, senior leadership, and other department stakeholders. The Team Lead will support continuous improvement initiatives within project financial and performance measurement domains.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership, mentorship and training to the analyst team members to foster an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration. Promote continuous improvement in data collection and efficiency, particularly in using existing tools (Epicor, etc.) more effectively. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to gather, analyze and interpret project data and provide insights and recommendations to various stakeholders to support decision-making. Collaborate and interface with internal stakeholders to develop cross-functional workflows, ensuring the data inputs to financial reporting are accurate and available when required. Develop standard operating procedures and training materials for project financials. Ensure the quality of the team’s deliverables through review and validation and implement quality assurance methodologies to maintain high work quality. Attend monthly project reviews and track actions related to fiscal performance.

KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in business or finance. A CPA is considered an asset. Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a project controls environment, with 2 – 3 years leading a team in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Highly accurate; detail and deadline-oriented Advanced Microsoft Office skills and Excel Sound knowledge of accounting principles and ERP software; Epicor would be an asset.
