Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a 3D Art/Ceramics Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at an independent school in Louisville, KY.

Ceramics/3-D Art Teacher Resonsibilities:

• Design and deliver lesson plans that engage students in the art of ceramics/3-D art.
• Teaching students ceramics techniques such as hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing, and kiln firing.
• Use a variety of different materials and art styles to diversify student experiences in art making.
• Oversee student work and provide feedback to encourage artistic creativity and skill development.
• Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills.
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.

Ceramics/3-D Art Teacher Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree preferred in an art field.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required

Additional Desired Qualities:

• Willingness to work with high school students.
• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
